Chamari Anthony Stephens Willis

Chamari Anthony Stephens Willis, age 47, of Aberdeen, Maryland, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. Born in Queens Village, New York, Chamari grew up on Long Island, where he built the foundation for the vibrant, loving, and unforgettable man he would become—someone who left a lasting mark on every life he touched.

Chamari’s greatest title in life was a family man. He was the deeply loved husband of Sarah Marie Willis and a fiercely devoted father to Ayla, Charleigh, Maxwell, and Myles. While his family holds tight to his memory here, comfort is found in knowing he has been reunited with his beloved mother, Barbara Stephens, and his daughter, Briella Willis, who preceded him in death.

In addition to his wife and children, Chamari’s legacy of love lives on through his father, Rupert Marriott, and stepmother, Althia Marriott; his brother, Antuni Marriott (Jessica) and their children, Maveric, Jayla, Quade, and G’onna; his sister, Rusheda Alexis (Curtis) and their children, Rasheed, Rashadd, Curtis Jr., and Cali; his brother, Jomo Campbell, and his children, Zion and Elijah; and his brother, Courtney Morrison Jr.

To know Chamari was to know a man who lived entirely for the people he loved. He was a steady, protective, and joyful presence as a husband and father, making his home a place of warmth and security. As a friend, Chamari was the one you could always count on—the guy who showed up, stood by your side, and brought an unmatched loyalty to every relationship.

He possessed a rare, effortless gift for bringing joy into the world. Blessed with a deep love for people, Chamari could light up any room just by stepping into it. His warmth, humor, and vibrant positivity were completely contagious; he lived to make the people around him smile, and his laughter was a sound that uplifted everyone who heard it.

His passions were as big as his heart. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Chamari played football in college at West Virginia University and was an accomplished track athlete during his days at Lawrence High School. Later in life, he could often be found cheering passionately for Liverpool FC when he was not on the sidelines cheering for his own children’s many sports teams. He found joy in the simple, vibrant things that made him uniquely him: the beat of drum-and-bass music, the comfort of Jamaican food and wings, and his legendary style—especially his carefully curated collection of sneakers and hats.

Of all the chapters in his life, the most beautiful began the day he met his wife, Sarah. What started as a chance meeting quickly blossomed into a deep, enduring love. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, shared dreams, and a family that was Chamari’s proudest achievement.

Chamari was one-of-a-kind and leaves behind a void that can never be filled, but he also leaves behind a blueprint for how to love fiercely and live fully. His laughter, his warmth, and his unwavering devotion will remain forever alive in the hearts of his family, his friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Repast will be held on Friday October 16, 2026, from 3 - 5 PM, at Bernard L. Tobin Post 128 American Legion, 44 N Parke Street, Aberdeen, Md, 21001.
