Carron Mary McDonough, age 61, of Pylesville, MD, died on June 8, 2010 at Stella Maris Hospice in Timonium, MD. Born in Passau, Germany, she was the daughter of Albine Teresa Simmeth Hart of Bel Air MD and the late John L. Ward. A graduate of Bel Air High School, she was owner and proprietor of The Feed Bag in Jacksonville, MD from 1992-2002, making it a community store and social gathering place. Carron and The Feed Bag won "Best Community Relations Retailer for 2000" in the national publication Pet Product News. She was also active in animal rescue, especially with golden retrievers.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. McDonough is survived by her husband of 39 years, Bill McDonough of Pylesville, MD; son, Michael Patrick McDonough and wife, Sunita, of Perry Hall, MD; daughter, Nora Kathleen McDonough of Rocky Point, NY; siblings, Mark Gregory Ward and Catherine M. Ward, both of Bel Air, MD; and granddaughter, Laila Mary McDonough of Perry Hall, MD.
In lieu of flowers, a contribution can be made to the Humane Society of Harford County, 2208 Connelly Road, Fallston, MD 21047.
