Carol M. Grubb Tracey, age 82, of Jarrettsville, Maryland, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025 at Stella Maris in Timonium, MD. Born in Marion, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Vance Herman Pickle and Hazel Frances (Hash) Pickle. She was the beloved wife of the late Ernest Milton Tracey, Jr., and was also preceded in death by her former husband, Dennis R. Grubb.
Carol was a dedicated businesswoman who owned and operated C & D Sheet Metal in Jarrettsville for almost 40 years. She was a past support member of both the Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company and the Jarrettsville Lions Club. She deeply enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and in her younger years, she loved camping.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Denessa (Tom) Fruhling, her son, Mark (fiancée Linda Cortes) Grubb, her stepchildren, Lora Tracey and Clifton Tracey. She was a loving grandmother to Alyssa Fruhling, Kayla (Zane) Ciparik, Tyler Grubb, and step-grandchildren, Kinsey LeBrun, Austin Tracey, Cliff Tracey, and Matt Tracey. And a proud great-grandmother to five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Paul Pickle, Dave Pickle, and Wayne Pickle.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Kathy Donhauser, Clab Pickle, Barbara Preston, Ronnie Pickle, and Kenny Pickle; and stepchildren, Sherilyn Ebersole, Robert Tracey, William Tracey and Ernest Tracey III.
