Carol Sinder Oakley

Carol Sinder Oakley, age 90, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away peacefully on May 10, 2023 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in New York, New York, she was the daughter of the late William Arnold and May (Carter) Sinder. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Robert Seaman Oakley. She lived in New York City, Boston, New Jersey, where she raised her family, and Maryland. During her childhood, she spent time with her mother’s family in England and continued corresponding with her family her entire life. Carol worked over 40 years as a legal secretary. She enjoyed painting, art, visiting museums, and playing cards with her friends and family. She was an avid reader and often completed the New York Times crossword puzzle. Carol also regularly attended the local senior center where she enjoyed the programs and games. In her later years, she enjoyed sharing a meal with friends on Monday evenings.
        
Carol was interested in and enjoyed spending time with loved ones. She had a special relationship with her family. Carol is survived by her; daughter, Donna (David) Mays; son, Robert Douglas Oakley (Susanne); granddaughters, Alicia Mays, and Andrea Mays; grandsons, Samuel Morgan Wiseman, and Robert Dakota Oakley.
