Carol Jeanne Kiggins Harrell, age 86, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2026. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late William Orey Kiggins and Lillian Jeanne (Kelley) Kiggins.

Carol retired in 2016 after many years of dedicated service as a cashier with Geresbeck's Grocery Store in Middle River. Prior to that, she worked as a proofreader for Maryland Composition.

Carol enjoyed taking care of her cats and was an avid fan of the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles. She also enjoyed playing BINGO and Rummy and going to the horse races.

Carol is survived by her sons, Michael Butrim and his wife, Mary, and Joseph Butrim and his wife, Anna; grandchildren, Michael W. Butrim, Jr., Kristen M. Volz, Christopher A. Butrim, and William Saylor; and great-grandchildren, Jameson Volz, Arya Volz, Chloe Butrim, Hadley Butrim, and Harper Butrim.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Christina Slayton, and her brother, William Kiggins.
