Carol Janet (Hancock) Bradley, 84, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2026 due to complications from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). She is survived by her son, David Bradley, daughter-in-law, Kim Bradley, and granddaughters Kate Bradley and Jane Bradley. She is also survived by her sister, Deborah McIntyre, brother-in-law, Rick McIntyre, nephew Brian McKain, his wife, Patsy North, and great-nephew Patrick McKain. Carol’s husband of sixty years, Kenneth Milton Bradley, predeceased her in 2023.
Carol was born to Charles and Gertrude (Muth) Hancock of Parkville, Maryland, in 1942. She was a proud graduate of Parkville High School Class of 1960. After marrying Kenneth, she became a devoted homemaker, especially enjoying her peaceful retreat near Green Road Park in Harford County for over three decades, where she and Kenneth raised their son, David. They also raised several litters of Miniature Schnauzer puppies over the years, including their long-time furry companions, Lucy and Sam. Carol remained close with her high school friends Nancy Foley, June Stolins, and Tana Taylor and could often be found lunching with them around Bel Air and Fallston, laughing and sharing stories over shrimp salad sandwiches, Maryland crab soup, and sweet tea.
Carol had an incredible mind and sharp sense of humor. She truly enjoyed working crossword puzzles, playing word games and card games, and reading. When she and Kenneth retired to Princess Anne, Maryland, she loved watching the hummingbirds from her screened porch while sipping her morning coffee, talking to her friends on the phone, and picking Chesapeake Bay crabs for dinner.
No public services are scheduled. The family and close friends will gather privately to honor Carol’s memory. Donations in Carol’s honor may be made to the Humane Society of Harford County, 2208 Connolly Road, Fallston, MD 21047, https://www.harfordshelter.org/
