Carlton Frank McVey, 60, of Edgewood, MD passed away on January 15, 2015 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Born in Havre de Grace, MD, he was the son of the late Robert Leslie McVey and Betty Marie Steen McVey. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he loved to talk about his time in the service, especially when he was stationed at Thule Air Force Base in Greenland. He had worked at Harrah's in Atlantic City where he met many stars and at the Camden Club where he met many of the Orioles players. He also worked at Bata, Alcore & ATK. He loved to make people laugh and nobody was a stranger to him. He also loved the Colts, NASCAR, horse racing and the Beatles.
Mr. McVey is survived by his wife of 19 years, Nancy J. Schaub McVey; brother, Robert Hicks and wife Dolly of Florida; nephew Bob Jr. and niece Donna and his dear kitty, Fluffy Jo. Mother in law; Nancy Schaub Abingdon, Sister in laws; Pam Hynla FL, Janet Schaub Bel Air, Lori Hensley Forest Hill, Kathy Morse Belcamp, Jane Brackins Bel Air, Jean Prezioso Bel Air, Sandy Champ Edgewood. Brother in laws: Bill Schaub Aberdeen & Kenny Schaub Abingdon. 5 nephews and 4 nieces. Many lifelong friends who he considered family. His Alcore family & ATK family, his John Hopkins transplant family & his buddy Sterling, Mrs. Klima & the Deerfield family & last but not least; Dave in his khakis of the Allstate family of Bel Air.
