Professor Carlos Morales retired in 2016 after 25 years of service at the University of Sacred Heart in Puerto Rico.
His next vocation was family. Carlos Morales was the beloved husband of Gloria Torres de Morales, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. His princess Gloria arrived in 1970 and his prince Carlos arrived in 1977. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Carlos Morales was deeply devoted to his Catholic faith. His next vocation starts in 1981 when he was ordained and deacon. Mentored by Father Jose (Pepe) in his first parish Corpus Christi he started his service. From there, he was assigned to pastor and develop a community in Colinas de San Juan. He was also a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Corpus Christi Council. He was a Deacon for 45 years and loved his church dearly.
Carlos Morales wrote several books and published five. The first published was a novel based on Father Pepe’s stories about his time pastoring the Indians on the Amazon. The other four are self-help books. He loved exploring our ancestry specially when he found there were Irish relatives. He enjoyed working with computers and was very technologically savvy. His faith, wisdom, kindness, and dedication to helping others were an important part of the life he shared with his family, friends, and community.
