Bryant Herbert, of Aberdeen, Maryland, passed away leaving behind a legacy defined by faith, generosity, and unwavering love for his family. Born and raised in Orange, New Jersey, Bryant faced profound loss early in life with the passing of his parents. He was lovingly raised by his grandmother affectionately called Big Mama, whose strength and guidance shaped the man he would become.
In 1984, Bryant enlisted in the United States Army, proudly serving his country until his honorable discharge in 1995. His years in uniform reflected his discipline, courage, and commitment to service. After leaving the military, Bryant worked in various roles before beginning his civilian federal career at HQ, CECOM Software Engineering Center, Aberdeen Proving Ground, where he later retired.
Bryant was known for his kindness, empathy, and deep devotion to God. He was the type of man who would give someone the shirt off his back without hesitation. His heart was generous, his spirit gentle, and his loyalty to those he loved was unwavering. He cherished running—an activity that brought him joy and peace—until illness made it no longer possible.
Above all, Bryant loved his family. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 22 years, Monica, and his beloved children: Simone, Demeris, and Ayana. He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren: Amayah, Aric, Ace, Teal, Kaylen, and Samaad, each of whom brought him immense joy. Bryant is also survived by his sister, Gwen, four nephews Bryan, Neil, Daniel and Justin, his nieces Jennifer and Ava, His mother-in Law Shirley Cone, and Brother-in-law Darius Cone all of whom will carry his memory forward with love.
Bryant’s life was marked by resilience, faith, and a quiet strength that touched everyone who knew him. His kindness will be remembered, his generosity honored, and his love deeply missed.
May his soul rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who were fortunate enough to know him.
