Cockeysville

Brian Christopher Sullivan, age 46, of Cockeysville, Maryland, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at his home. Born in Baltimore, he was the beloved son of Timothy Burgan Sullivan and Brenna Rae (Rook) Sullivan.

Brian was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Sullivan (April 20, 1969 - May 18,1972) In addition to his parents, he is survived by many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins and his loving girlfriend, Claire Tannenbaum. A graduate of Bel Air High School, one of Brian’s fondest memories, was playing baseball, with his teammates, as third baseman for the Bobcats, when the team won the Maryland State Championship in June 1996. He graduated from the University of Delaware in 2000, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. He worked in the insurance industry for over 20 years and was a Senior Commercial Underwriter for Travelers Insurance Company in Hunt Valley, MD until his passing.

Brian was an avid sports fan. He especially loved the beach, particularly Ocean City, and enjoyed working from home two days a week in 2025 with Simon, Claire’s dog, by his side. He cherished Memorial Day as the start of summer, celebrated Thanksgiving with the annual Sullivan Turkey Bowl football game, and looked forward to the fun-loving events of Halloween. He also treasured time spent at his aunt’s log cabin home in Pennsylvania.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Brian’s memory to theEd Lally Foundation, supporting proactive mental health and suicide prevention (if preferred, checks can be mailed to Ed Lally Foundation, 906 Fawn Court, Joppa, MD 21085).
