Obituary

Bill Testerman, age 90, of Forest Hill, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

Born in Troutdale, Virginia, Bill was the son of the late Neal Monteque Testerman and Cloie (Stone) Testerman.

Bill shared a remarkable love story with his beloved wife, Myrtle Josephine (Taylor) Testerman. Married for 67 years, they built a life centered on family, hard work, and devotion to one another.

At the age of 18, Bill moved from Virginia to Maryland, where he established a successful career and made a lasting impact through his craftsmanship. He worked for a kitchen cabinetry company and in the modular home industry before discovering his true calling as a clockmaker. Bill spent many years with Daneker Clock Company in Fallston, where his exceptional skill and attention to detail earned him a distinguished reputation. Among his many accomplishments, he handcrafted a grandfather clock for legendary Baltimore Colts quarterback Johnny Unitas and created clocks that found homes with royalty around the world. He retired at the age of 65 after a long and rewarding career.

Outside of work, Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing and cherished the memories made with his son, Mike. One of his proudest adventures was traveling to Canada with Mike on a hunting trip, becoming the first member of his family to travel outside of the United States. He was also known for his love of REALLY strong coffee and could often be found enjoying a fresh cup while sharing stories and laughter with family and friends.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Myrtle Testerman; his son, Mike (Stacie)Testerman; his granddaughters, Nicole Testerman and Sheena (Sean) Posey; and his great-grandchildren, Avery Posey and Aiden Posey.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brothers, Don Testerman, James Testerman, Raymond Testerman, and Buges “Kookie” Testerman; and his sisters, Pearl Simmons, Katherine Ross, Thelma Privett, and Anna Mae Crumrine.

Bill will be remembered for his quiet dedication, extraordinary craftsmanship, adventurous spirit, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and the treasured memories he leaves behind.
