Betty S. Shepherd

Betty S. Shepherd, age 77, of Abingdon, MD passed away on February 6, 2016 at her home. Born in Richlands, NC, she was the daughter of the late Claudea Hardy Taylor and Bessie Caroline (Jarman) Taylor. She lived in Jacksonville, NC most of her life up until 2 years ago. She loved to cook southern dishes, play bingo and shop. Her greatest love was spending time with family.

Mrs. Shepherd is survived by her husband, Donald Raymond Shepherd, sons, Thomas D. Sanders of Jacksonville, NC and Richmond L. Sanders of Abingdon; daughters, Betsy J. Hoskins of Delta, PA and Vicki A. Salvi of Abingdon; grandchildren, Rhonda A. Taylor, Annina E. Salvi, Mariah J. Sanders, Miranda L. Sanders, Leah N. Sanders, Paul Salvi and Dawn Hoskins; and several loving nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Sanders, Richmond Sanders, Gino Salvi, Dominic Salvi, Rhonda Taylor and Annina Salvi.
