Betty Rigsby, age 92, of Street, Maryland, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026. Born in Renick, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Loy Hamilton Brown and the late Ada Florence (Stacy) Brown. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Rigsby.
Betty was a warm and outgoing woman who truly loved being around people. A social butterfly by nature, she found great joy in visiting with friends and family and caring for others. In her younger years, she enjoyed gardening and took pride in nurturing her plants. She also loved going to listen to Bluegrass music, which brought her much happiness throughout her life. She enjoyed cooking and feeding all who would visit her home.
In addition to her husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death by her daughters, Joyce McCarter, and Donna Rigsby; her sister, Ruby Cordell; and her brothers, Virgil Brown, and Jordan Brown.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Ella (Vincent) Roark; her devoted son, Dennis (Tina) Rigsby; her cherished grandchildren, Justin Evans, Jamie McCarter, Vincent Roark, and Cheryl McCarter; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Lucas Evans, Laney Evans, Steven Roark, Sierra Lamar, and CJ Lamar. She is also survived by her brother, Denver Brown.
