Audrey J. Cann

October 9, 1947 — September 27, 2019

On Friday, September 27, 2019, Audrey Joyce Cann, age 71, passed away unexpectedly at home with her husband by her side.

Audrey, born on October 9, 1947 in Newark, NJ, was the daughter of the late Joseph Vogt and Evelyn Krueger Vogt. She was an amazing wife, mother of three, and Nana to four beautiful grandchildren.

Audrey graduated from St. Vincent Academy in Newark, NJ and then earned a Bachelor of Arts from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She married her beloved husband Frank on July 5, 1969. She lived in the Chicago, IL area for several years and then in Suffern, NY for 16 years. After staying home to raise 3 wonderful children, she re-entered the workforce, working in telecommunication sales for over 30 years. She was a dedicated, hard worker and finally with encouragement from her family, retired at the age of 70 from Verizon Wireless.

Audrey moved to Bel Air, Maryland in 1989. She was a devoted Catholic and active parishioner of St. Margaret church. She was a selfless and kind woman who cherished time with her family. An exemplary wife and mother who listened, loved and always made sure those around her were cared for before she could rest. She loved to bake and enjoyed the outdoors, whether she was gardening, doing yard work or walking the beach. Her most treasured times were those shared with family. She will be dearly missed.

Audrey is survived by her husband Frank J. Cann of 50 years, her son Frank G. Cann, daughter Christine and husband Jim Agresti, her daughter Jennifer and husband Brad Halstead, her grandchildren Anna, James, Emma and William.
