Art Romain, Sr

Arthur Wayne Romain, Sr., age 78, of Fallston, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 5, 2026.

Born in Harrison County, West Virginia, Arthur was the beloved son of the late George Nester Romain and the late Mary Bernadette (Tiano) Romain.

Arthur proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. His military service was an important part of his life, and he remained proud of the time he spent serving his country.

Arthur spent many hours throughout the years volunteering with various organizations such as the Vietnam Veterans Association, the Marine Corp League, the Lions Club, Perry Point Veterans Hospital, Fleet Reserve Association and he was deeply involved with Holy Communion Lutheran Church and served as the official greeter.

Arthur was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He shared his life with his beloved wife, Diane Romain, and cherished the family they built together.

Arthur is survived by his loving wife, Diane Romain; his sister, Dr. Nancy Backus; his sons, Raymond Romain and Thomas Romain; his grandchildren, Jackson Romain, Bradley Romain, Alex Curry, and Ryan Curry. He also leaves behind extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

Family and friends may gather for visitation on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at McComas Family Funeral Homes, Abingdon.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at McComas Family Funeral Homes, Abingdon.

Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery.
