Anthony "Tony" Masciarelli, age 76, of Abingdon, Maryland, passed away on December 6, 2023, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Antonio and Enes and husband of Deborah Silvestri Masciarelli. Tony grew up in South Philadelphia and was a proud U.S. Army Veteran, serving as a medic, and a devoted Catholic. He belonged to Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 588.

Tony began his career at WKBS-TV Channel 48 as a cameraman in Philadelphia. His love for photography and the opportunity to travel the world for his job as broadcast engineer for the Foreign Press Center/ U.S. State Department brought him in contact with several U.S. Presidents and high-ranking government officials.

A passionate sports enthusiast, Tony was a loyal fan of all Philadelphia sports. His love for Christmas, snow, and Christmas carols was infectious, and he cherished the holiday season. Tony's athletic spirit shone through his youth and adulthood as he played baseball throughout high school and into his late 20s. Remarkably, he even had the opportunity to play at Veterans Stadium, the former stadium of the Philadelphia Phillies.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Tony's heart was filled with love for his dog, Vinny, who was a constant companion and source of joy.
