Anna Lou Kirk

March 27, 1928 — September 20, 2014

Anna Lou Kirk, age 86, of Joppa, MD, passed away on September 20, 2014 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air. Born in Hansonville, VA, she is the daughter of the late Oliver Dea and Willie Kate Ferren Lambert and wife of the late John R. Kirk. A sewing machine operator, she worked in several businesses on Main Street in Bel Air, the Bel Air Sewing Factory and the Fawn Grove Sewing Factory. She was very active in sewing, crafts and making dresses for needy children and quilts for veterans, and enjoyed traveling. She was also a member of Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Kirk is survived by her sons, Steve Kirk and Dan Kirk of Bel Air; sisters, Dennis Simms of Joppa, Becky Lay Jeppi of Whiteford, and Nancy C. Cornwell of Hanover, PA; grandchildren, Jason, Emily, Josh, Jake, Gabe and Steven Kirk; and 14 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Mike Kirk, brothers, Cecil D. Lambert and Donald C. Lambert, and sisters, Dolly McNutt, Audrey M. Moore and Kathleen K. Vallincourt.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve and Dan Kirk.
