Anna Carol
Leanza
December 9, 1931 – May 6, 2026
Anna Carol Leanza, 94, of Forest Hill, Maryland, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and the caring staff at Amazing Grace Assisted Living. Born on December 9, 1931, in Mamaroneck, New York, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Josephine (Costa) Iacampo.
Anna’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose warmth, generosity, and love touched everyone who knew her.
Music was one of Anna’s lifelong passions. She began learning the accordion at a young age, became an accomplished teacher and performer, and continued sharing her talent until she was 92 years old. Together with her husband, Vito, a gifted drummer, she brought music and joy to family gatherings and celebrations for many years.
Anna also had a deep love of learning and creativity. She enjoyed art, crocheting, reading, and cooking for family and friends on every occasion possible. She was a graduate of Harford Community College, a faithful parishioner of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, a member of the Sons of Italy, and found great happiness participating in the Maryland Accordion Club. Throughout her life, she owned and directed a successful daycare, worked with the elderly, and served in positions supporting the military and the Federal Government.
Anna is survived by her beloved husband of 71 years, Vito Francis Leanza; her daughters, Judith Steinmeyer (David), Linda Leanza (fiancé Alan Cassedy), and Janet Kouten (Joseph); her grandchildren, Alejandro Molina, Monica Molina Lopez, Ashley Coughlin, Emily Kouten, and Adrianne Adams; and her great-grandchildren, Agustin Lopez, Gianlucca Lopez, Miles Steinmeyer, and Chabi Steinmeyer. She is also survived by her dear sister, Carol Tester.
Anna was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Murphy, and Ethel Cackowski.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the many friends, relatives, and caregivers who lovingly supported Anna throughout the years.
