Angela Faye Cox

Angela Faye Cox, age 74, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, in Bel Air, Maryland.

She was born in Kinston, North Carolina, to the late Levi Olds and the late Margaret (Cox) Crooks.

Angela dedicated her life to education, serving as a fifth-grade teacher for 35 years at Youth Benefit Elementary School in Harford County, Maryland. She retired in 2008. Angela earned her undergraduate degree from North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina, and later received her Master’s degree in Special Education from Coppin State University, graduating with a 3.9 GPA.

She is survived by her brother, Rev. Dr. Richard Crooks (Rev. Dr. Stacey Crooks); her sister, Cynthia D. Brown Washington (Samuel); her nieces and nephews, Marcus Crooks (Shelly), Alexis Crooks Chambers (Andre), Aliyah Crooks, Richard Crooks III, Christian Brown (Sheri), Shannon Brown, and Darren Richey; her great-nieces, Diamond and Cambria; her great-nephews, Marcus Jr., Noah, Jonah, Jabari, and Marley; and a host of other relatives and friends.
