Obituary

Angela F. Campbell, age 89, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away at her home with her children by her side on Saturday, May 9, 2026.

Born in Overlea, Maryland, Angela was the daughter of the late Virgil Frances Profili and the late Katherine Josephine (Brocato) Profili. She was also preceded in death by her spouse, John L. Campbell, her beloved sister, Annamarie James, and her longtime companion and husband, Charles V. Duke.

Angela was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose devotion to her family was evident in every aspect of her life. She is survived by her loving children, Elle Campbell, Dennis Campbell and his wife, Eileen; beloved granddaughter, Michelle Campbell and her sons Julian Osorio and Jaiden Sturgill; treasured grandsons Benjamin, and Ian Campbell; her dear brother, Virgil Profili and his wife, Rosemary; and her beloved sister, JoAnn Bussenius and her husband, Wallace; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who loved and will miss “Aunt Angie”.

Angela enjoyed a long and successful career with Sears Roebuck & Company in the Credit Department, where she worked for 36 years during a time when many women did not work outside the home. She took great pride in her work ethic and independence, reaching the title of Credit Manager. Beyond her career, Angela was deeply committed to her community serving as the past president of the Evergreen Heights Community Association as well as a faithful member of St. Francis De Sales Church.

Angela was a wonderful cook and enjoyed using the recipes passed down by her mother; most recipes were not written down, but by memory and taste. She was known for the exceptional care she gave to her home, pool, and garden. She meticulously managed every detail of her household and found great joy in creating a warm and welcoming environment for family and friends.
