Andrew "Tom" Thomas

Andrew "Tom" Thomas, age 73, of Abingdon, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 25, 2026.

Born in Marion, North Carolina, Tom was the beloved son of Katherine Margaret (Kohler) Thomas and the late Andrew Carl Thomas, Sr. He was the devoted husband of Karen Anne Thomas, with whom he shared nearly 49 wonderful years of marriage.

Tom dedicated 41 years of his career to the home heating industry, where he was known for his hard work and commitment. Outside of work, he was an avid golfer and a proud member of Medfield Golf Club. He also enjoyed playing men's softball for 20 years and cherished time spent at the beach, especially visits to Volano Beach in Florida. Above all, Tom treasured time with his family. He loved attending his sons' sporting events when they were younger and found his greatest joy in playing with his grandchildren. Known as the class clown throughout his life, Tom had a wonderful sense of humor and was always ready with a joke, bringing laughter to everyone around him.

In addition to his father, Andrew Carl Thomas, Sr., Tom was preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Justin Thomas.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of nearly 49 years, Karen Anne Thomas; his sons, Eric Thomas and his wife, Toni, and Kevin Thomas and his wife, Ashley; his cherished grandchildren, Skyla Thomas and Spencer Thomas; his mother, Katherine Margaret (Kohler) Thomas; and his sisters, Marilyn Reese and Kathy Pierce.
