Ana Dolores Murillo

d. May 12, 2025

Jarrettsville

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ana Dolores Murillo, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend. Ana was born in Cali, Colombia, to the late Alberto and Aura Narvaez. She ultimately made her home in Jarrettsville, Maryland, where she lived a full and vibrant life until her peaceful departure from this world on May 12, 2025, surrounded by family.

Ana was a devoted wife of 56 years to her husband, Jose Murillo. She was a proud mother of three children and a daughter-in-law: her son Alejandro Murillo and his wife Theresa, her son John Murillo, and her daughter Martha Murillo. She was also a beloved sister to her three siblings and their spouses: her late brother Jorge Narvaez and his late wife Osiris, her brother Adolfo Narvaez and his late wife Luz Marina, and her late sister Gloria Narvaez.

Ana was also a treasured sister-in-law and aunt to numerous nieces and nephews, some of whom were by her side in her final moments: her sister-in-law Amparo Murillo, her niece Saray Narvaez and her son Andres Gonzalez; her nephew Rafa Rengifo; and her nieces Angela Rengifo and Zoraya Narvaez.

Ana’s family and friends will forever remember her enduring love, kindness, unwavering support, and her deep appreciation for art and culture—values she learned from her parents. A talented artist, Ana leaves behind an array of beautiful paintings that her family will treasure.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ana’s memory to Operation Smile or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. As we remember Ana, we take comfort in knowing that we will see her again in the glorious presence of Jesus Christ.
