Allan Jay Hirsch

Allan Jay Hirsch, age 74, of Havre de Grace, Maryland passed away peacefully on June 8, 2023. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Sidney and Rose (Mehlman) Hirsch and husband to loving wife Carol Rosier-Hirsch. 

Allan grew up in Baltimore, attended Baltimore City College HS and graduated from the University of Baltimore. From an early age he worked along with his parents at their grocery store, Markley’s Market on Harford Road.

Allan’s vibrant personality and constant smile led him to be liked by all lucky enough to meet him.  He loved to talk and make people laugh and accepted everyone on face value.  His generosity was unmatched, always putting others’ wants and needs before his own.  
     
In addition to his wife, Allan is survived by his children, Elisa Hirsch and Mark Hirsch; brother, Stephen (Sue) Hirsch; as well as Carol’s children, Scott (Amanda) Rosier and Stacie (Brad) Stover; and grandchildren, Ben, Ava, and Will. Allan is also survived by many other family members and close friends.

Along with his parents, Allan was preceded in death by sisters, Susan Pomerantz and Eva Krome.

Services will be held privately by the families.
