On a shining autumn morning, the first Sunday of October 2025, Alice Luehr Marzicola passed peacefully away, joining her beloved husband, Martin.
Her story began in 1930 in Elmhurst, Illinois. Where she grew up cane pole fishing, family vacationing in a shared, one room cabin, sewing all of her own clothing and a short modeling career with Sears Roebuck. In her early twenties, inexplicably she was spotted in a photograph by Martin in Edgewood, MD. And thus began the rest of her beautiful story.
A daughter, sister, wife, aunt, mom, grandmother, mother-in-law, and friend. She filled her 94 earthly years with the sweet joys of family, long lasting friendships, travels near and far, quiet faith, community service, and gardening. Always gardening.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you to take a moment to join Susan, Carey and Carla in her memory, in her garden: Alice's Garden, This Monday, October 13th at 12:00 noon Pennsylvania and Hickory Avenues, Bel Air
In her honor: plant a tree, enjoy flowers, take a long walk or make a donation to St. Mathews Lutheran Church.
A private burial will take place prior.
