Alexandra “Alex” Erin Chilton, 24, peacfully departed this life and entered the loving embrace of Jesus on the morning of Saturday, May 23, 2026.
Born, January 11, 2002 at Johns Hopkins Bayview to her beloved parents Sandra Vickers Chilton and John Gregory Chilton.
Alex was raised in Bel Air, Maryland and graduated with honors from Fallston High School before attending Temple University in Philadelphia. A city she cherished and one she intended to call home. In May 2025, she completed the five-year program, graduating with honors and earning her Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. Alex was passionate about helping children with autism and dreamed of continuing her good work. While completing her education, she worked at Neuroabilities and CGSG as a Registered Behavior Technician and Behavioral Consultant. She was hardworking, determined and dedicated in everything she pursued.
Alex loved figure skating, which she began at 6 years old. Ice World in Abingdon, Maryland became her second home. From starting out as group lesson participant to becoming a rink guard, camp counselor and eventually coach for young skaters. Once again, helping to shape our youth.
Alex achieved so much in her young life, embracing each day with grace, humor, and kindness.
She frequently remarked, "Everything happens in God's timing." She held strong Christian beliefs and infused them into her everyday life.
Alex had a variety of interests, including reading, the Orioles, the Ravens, shoes, and stylish clothing. She amassed a collection of vinyl LPs and had a diverse taste in music. She adored cats especially Chinnie, Pablo and Myra who were her “babies” throughout elementary, middle, high school and college.
She cherished her family and friends above all else, with her mother being her very best friend throughout her life. She adored her father and lovingly called him “Bud”. The three were inseparable and had a friendship that was filled with lots of adventures, laughter and love.
Alex impacted countless lives with her compassion, empathy, humor, understanding, intelligence and love. She will be deeply and profoundly missed.
