Alex "Al" J. Stahelek

Alex "Al" J. Stahelek, 91, of Edgewood, MD, husband of the late Marian A. Stahelek, passed away on November 24, 2014, at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. Born in Conshohocken, PA, he is the son of the late Alexander and Stanislava Stachelek.

Mr. Stahelek is survived by his daughters, Sharon Stahelek-Busby, and her husband, Michael, of Tucson, AZ, Joanne Renjel of Forest Hill, MD, and Tami Stahelek of Babylon, NY. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Luis Renjel. He is grandfather to Randi Vecchione, Jennifer Renjel, Alex Renjel, Casey Trainor, William Skarka and Luis and Robert Renjel; and great-grandfather to Christian Vecchione, Robert Vecchione Jr. and Charlotte Renjel. He is also survived by his sister, Annie Comiskey of PA.

He served more than 20 years as active military in the US Army and Air Force and was a veteran of WWII. His final post was Vandenberg Air Force Base, CA, where he worked for Strategic Air Command where he worked in radar and missile tracking. Following his military service he worked for a private contractor on Aberdeen Proving Ground as an aircraft electrician.
