Alan Kirk Harbold, 66, of Jarrettsville, MD passed away on November 8, 2015 at his home. Born in Baltimore, MD he was the son of the late Dr. Harold Valentine Harbold and Emily Lillian (Proctor) Harbold. He attended Gilman School and in 1966 graduated from City College. In 1972 he received his B.S. in Business Cum Laude from the University of Baltimore. He was awarded membership in the Beta Alpha Honorary Scholarship Society. He worked as a recruiter for Baseline Software and was noted in the Who's Who of Business Professionals. He was a member of the Baltimore Glass Club and was currently writing a book, along with his brother, on Victorian Art glass and Satin glass. He loved classical music, antiques and collectibles. He enjoyed playing the organ, reading, being at home and trying out new restaurants. He was also an animal lover. Other organizations he had belonged to include the Free State Theatre Organ Society, Susquehanna Valley Theatre Organ Society and the Train Collectors Association.
Mr. Harbold is survived by his wife of 22 years, Kathleen M. Harbold; son, Bradford T. Harbold and wife Melissa of Port Deposit; brother, Harold V. Harbold II and wife, Peggy of Forest Hill; grandson, James B. Harbold; niece, Judy Schaffer of Fallston and nephew, Eric Harbold of Forest Hill.
