Agnes Rena Blume Obituary
Born February 27, 1932 - Died March 2, 2026
Agnes Rena Blume, age 94, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 2, 2026, in Bel Air, MD. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the beloved daughter of the late Carmine Clemente and Mary (Runk) Clemente.
Agnes was the devoted wife of the late Joseph George Blume, with whom she shared 72 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a loving family and a lifetime of cherished memories.
She is survived by her loving children, Joseph (Caroline) Blume Jr., Valerie (Mike) Dixon, and Kimberly (Bruce) Wills; and her cherished grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher, Meghan, Andrew, Matthew, Danielle, Patrick, Rebecca, and Ellen. Agnes was also the proud great-grandmother of 18 beautiful great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her beloved dog Rosie, who brought her comfort and companionship and never left her side.
Left to cherish her memory are her sisters-in-law, Anne Bye and Pat Blume; and her brother-in-law, Myrell “Okie” Rittenpusch.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley Hess and Mary Klima; her sister-in-law, Dolores Rittenpusch; and her brothers-in-law, Stanley Bye and George Blume, Walt Klima and Bob Hess.
Agnes was a woman of many talents and interests. She enjoyed shopping, golf, skiing, baking, bowling, horseback riding, and ceramics. She also enjoyed playing cards with friends and family and was an avid fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens. She was very active in her children’s activities and loved staying connected with friends and family—especially through long phone conversations.
She proudly made a hole-in-one at The Sparrows Point Golf and Country Club on July 9, 1995, a moment she treasured.
Agnes and her family created many special memories during vacations at their home in Deep Creek Lake embracing her love for both adventure and tradition.
Agnes will be remembered for her warmth, devotion to her family, and the joy she brought to all who knew her. Her legacy of love and family will continue through the many lives she touched.
