Achille Silvestri

Achille Silvestri, age 80, of Bel Air, MD, passed away on March 1, 2014 at the Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, MD. Born in Bugnara, Italy, he was the son of the late Gennaro and Lucia Silvestri. He retired on December 18, 1989 from Edgewood Arsenal where he was Chief of the Bio-Chemical Detector Group at CRDEC, a division that saved many soldier's lives. He was a member of Swan Harbor RC Modelers Club, and for many years, was editor of their news letter. He was also a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church for 50 years. He loved photography, painting and woodworking.

Mr. Silvestri is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Ann (Genovese) Silvestri; sons, Mark A. Silvestri of Bel Air and Matthew J. Silvestri of Baltimore; and brother, Amedeo Silvestri of Penns Grove, NJ.
