Accursia “Lisa” Moncado Klug, age 82, of Aberdeen, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 14, 2026, in Aberdeen, MD.
Born in Sicily, Italy, Accursia immigrated to the United States at the age of 12 with her family. They settled in West Virginia, where they built a life together and where she would later meet the love of her life, Hilary Leonard Klug. Accursia and Hilary were married for nearly 60 wonderful years, sharing a lifetime devoted to faith, family, and love until his passing.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Paul Moncada and the late Accursia (Santangelo) Moncada. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Hilary Leonard Klug, and her beloved son, Christopher Klug.
Accursia was a devoted Catholic whose faith guided her life. She was a loving and selfless wife, mother, and Nana, who would do anything for her family. Family was her world, and she found her greatest joy in caring for them. A wonderful cook and talented baker, she especially loved preparing meals and sweet treats to share around the table. She cherished watching Hallmark movies and spending time with her family, which is where she was truly the happiest.
She is survived by her loving children: Christina (Eugene) Stevens, Stefanie (David) Reinhardt, and Patrick (Christine) Klug. She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Amanda (Kyle) Stevens, Andrew Reinhardt, Brandon (Emily) Stevens, Evan (Julie) Reinhardt, Victoria Klug, and Kevin Klug, also her beloved great grandchildren, Ella, Ryder, and Jaxon. She is also survived by her devoted sister, Josephine Falkenstein; her brother, Raymond Moncada; and her niece, Jennifer Barnes, and great nephew Austin.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Accursia’s memory to the Kauffman Cancer Center.
Accursia will be remembered for her kindness, her sweet spirit, her unwavering devotion to her faith, and the deep love she had for her family. Her legacy of selflessness and love will live on in all who were blessed to know her.
