Valeria Mary Provenzano

April 19, 1941 — July 11, 2021

Valeria Mary Provenzano, age 80, of Parkville, Maryland passed away on July 11, 2021 at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Victoria and Michael Pleszkoch and wife of the late James Anthony Litsch, Sr. and her late second husband, Robert Francis Provenzano. A graduate of the Misericordia Hospital School of Nursing in Philadelphia, Valeria was a devoted Registered Nurse during her career of 40 years at Pickersgill Retirement Community, she retired as the Director of Skilled Nursing, devoting her life to caring for others. She was a member of Seven Oaks Senior Center and volunteered there once a week. Most importantly, Valeria enjoyed every moment she was able to spend with her children and grandchildren. In earlier years she was supportive of all the sports her children played, even coaching the Hamilton Little League Baseball Team to a championship in her first season. Valeria tried her best to be at any of her grandchildren’s events as well. In her later years she loved being a part of the gatherings her family would have, and she enjoyed her scratch off lotto tickets, bus trips to casinos to play her favorite slot machines, her high ball drinks, and card games on the computer.

Valeria is survived by her daughter Valerie Marie Hoffman and her husband, Thomas; two sons, James Anthony Litsch, Jr and daughter in law Heather, Michael and his wife, Danielle; eight grandchildren, Matthew (wife Mary) and Becky Hoffman, Hannah-Sarah, Jared, Nathaniel, James, Marissa Litsch and Zachary James Litsch; great-grandson, Ryan Hoffman; sister, Victoria Rafferty, brother, Joseph Pleszkoch; and many loving family members and friends.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Pleszkoch Sr.
