Tony Prather

October 18, 1952 — February 6, 2015

Tony Prather, 62, of Jarrettsville, MD, passed away on February 6, 2015 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Baltimore, he is the son of Edwin Russell and Louise Kahler Prather of Edgewood. He was a supervisor at Atlantic Recycling Group for 24 years and was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Edgewood. He would always help other people, was an avid outdoorsman and loved his pets.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Prather is survived by his wife of 36 years, Patricia A. Smith Prather; daughter, Lindsey Prather and husband, Christopher Dershak of Baltimore; brothers, Russell Prather of Bel Air, Charles Prather of Las Vegas, NV and Gregory Prather and wife, Deborah, of Shrewsbury, PA; sisters, Linda Williamson and husband, Guy, of Bel Air and Grace Snyder and husband, Albert of Bel Air; father-in-law, Claude Smith Jr. of Perryville; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution can be made to the Maryland SPCA, Development office, 3300 Falls Road, Baltimore, MD 21211.
