Timothy Stuart Anderson

June 17, 1946 — April 17, 2022

Timothy Stuart Anderson of Jarrettsville, Maryland, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air.  He was 75.

Born June 17, 1946 in Jarrettsville, he was the son of the late George and Zella Anderson and the youngest of 6 children.  A lifelong resident of Jarrettsville, he graduated from North Harford High School in 1965 and married his wife of 41 years, the late Teresa Ann Anderson (Weaver).  He pursued the construction and contractor trades and rose from apprentice to master carpenter and eventually field superintendent of a large Baltimore area construction company before starting his own business, TSA Construction.  He had two sons he deeply loved, Mark Timothy Anderson and Sean Warren Anderson.

A man of strong Christian faith, he was a longtime member of the Bel Air Church of the Nazarene.  Over the years he served the church in many positions, from music ministry serving youth and teens to leading sports ministries, helping with theatrical plays, as Sunday School teacher, board member, and building council member.   He loved to sing, and was a member of many church, local, and regional music groups, most recently at Calvary Baptist Church of Bel Air.  Quartet music, southern gospel, choir, and praise music was his passion, and he sang most of his adult life in numerous churches and at many events, even writing his own songs and music.  He loved playing and watching basketball and baseball and played in high school and well into his adult years on many church and recreation leagues.  Vintage American muscle cars were also a passion, along with dining out and being with his beloved grandchildren, Cooper and Maverick.

Timothy was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa, and his oldest sister, Dorothy Vaughan.  He is survived by his sons, Mark Timothy Anderson, Sean Warren Anderson and his wife Kara Anderson along with grandsons Cooper Whyte Anderson and Maverick Jacob Anderson, all of Jarrettsville; brother Kenneth Anderson and wife Nancy of Fenwick Island, Delaware; sisters Dolores Crouse and husband Rev. Nevin of Easton, Jean Steelman of Orlando, Florida, and Loretta Persiano of Abingdon; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
