Ruth Elizabeth Hott

Ruth Elizabeth Hott, age 93, of Sparks Glencoe, Maryland passed away on December 26, 2021 at Maryland Masonic Homes in Cockeysville, Maryland. Born in Joppa, Maryland, she was the daughter of George and Gertrude (Mevius) Henning and wife of the late Paul David Hott. She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of Joppa-Magnolia Fire Hall. She enjoyed crocheting, working word search puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren. She was the babysitter for the community and had babysat over 50 children throughout the years.      

Ruth is survived by her sons, Thomas (Denise) David Hott of Pylesville and Robert Stephen Hott of Sparks; daughter, Nancy (Dennis) Elizabeth Stewart of Forest Hill; grandchildren, Kathleen D. Stewart, Daniel P. (Holly) Stewart, Tyler R. (Dave) Born and Brent T. (Jennifer) Hott; great-granddaughters, Hali Hannah, Alexa & Stefanie Jones and Finley G. Hott; and great-grandsons, Wyatt J. Stewart, Logan J. Stewart and Lincoln D. Hott. 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard S. Henning and Kenneth J. Henning and sister, Dorothy E. Guercio.
