Ruby L. Noonkester

Ruby L. Noonkester, age 91, of Bel Air, MD, died on May 17, 2011 at Bel Air Health and Rehabilitation in Bel Air, MD. Born in Troutdale, VA, she was the daughter of the late Will and Elizabeth Sexton Privett and wife of the late Gilbert Noonkester. A resident of Harford County since 1948, she was a charter member of Antioch Baptist Church in Havre de Grace where she taught Sunday school for many years. She loved to help people in need and had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed sewing and gardening, and loved to draw and write poetry.

Mrs. Noonkester is survived by her sons, Avery F. Noonkester and wife, Joyce, of Bel Air, MD and Donald S. Noonkester and wife, Doris, of Darlington, MD; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one grandson, Randy Noonkester.
