Rose Mcconnell

ROSE McCONNELL, age 93, of Bel Air, formerly of Glendora, New Jersey, died in Bel Air Health and Rehabilitation Center on September 25, 2005. Born in Edison, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Ruggiero and Anna Peruicfana Samartino and the wife of the late John J. McConnell. She grew up and lived in New Jersey most of her life before moving to Bel Air Health and Rehabilitation Center in 1998 where she spent her remaining years. She loved to cook and opened a restaurant in the 1960’s called Rose Lynn Diner in Oaklyn, New Jersey. She worked for Meals on Wheels until 1996 when she was 84 years old in Camden County, New Jersey. She was a very giving, unselfish person.

Mrs. McConnell is survived by a daughter-in-law, Randie McConnell of Bel Air; four grandchildren, Joseph McConnell of Tucson, Arizona, Jacque Krasner and her husband, Brian of Westampton, New Jersey, Lynne McConnell of Runnemede, New Jersey, and Lauren McConnell of Bel Air; one great-grandson, Robert McConnell of Clementon, NJ; one great-great-granddaughter, Autumn Sky Elizabeth McConnell of Clementon, NJ.; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by one son, Daniel Joseph McConnell; one daughter, Ellen Gallagher; four brothers, Thomas Samartino, James Samartino, Anthony Samartino, and Peter Samartino; one sister, Anna Saro; and one grandson, Michael Gallagher.
