Robert Corea

Robert A. Corea, 66, died unexpectedly but peacefully of natural causes on June 6, 2014 at his residence in Bel Air, MD.

He was born May 20, 1948 in Youngstown, OH, the son of D. Richard and Mary Salerno Corea. He attended St. Stephen School in Niles, OH, was a 1966 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, and received his Bachelor of Science in Finance and Masters of Business Administration from The Ohio State University.

Bob, a Chartered Financial Analyst, worked in Finance and Strategic Planning. He worked as a Vice President for The Ohio Company in Columbus, OH and for RP&C International where his work took him to New York and London. He was the Director of Financial Analysis for Bob Evans Farms, Inc. in Columbus before he relocated to Maryland in 2006 to be closer to his family. While in Maryland, Bob applied his love of the fine and performing arts by serving as a financial consultant for the Harford County Center for the Arts.

Bob was a gourmet cook, an avid traveler, and a supporter of the arts. He was equally proud to show friends and guests his latest piece of folk art as he was his great-nephews' school drawings. For years he cherished his time with his beloved dog, the late Margo.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Bob is survived and deeply missed by his brother, Richard Corea and his wife, Linda, his niece, Kate Abromaitis and her husband, Mark, his nephews, Tony Corea and his wife, Kathryn, and Nick Corea and his wife, Carolyn. His love, playfulness, and macaroni and cheese will be missed by his 6 great-nephews, Jack, Charlie, and Aidan Corea and Tony, John, and Frank Abromaitis.
