Rick Patten

Rick Patten, 62, of Abingdon, MD, passed away on March 7, 2015 at his home. Born in San Antonio, TX, he is the son of the late Melvin Andrew Patten and Barbara Louise Findley Mieczkowski. A tool maker for Middle River Aircraft Systems, he retired after 33 years of service. He was a former member of Bush River Yacht Club, and avid fisherman and NASCAR fan, carpenter and tool maker. He enjoyed being a granddad to all.

Mr. Patten is survived by his wife of 43 years, Deb Gail Stallings Patten; daughters, Laena M. Rambo and husband, Keith, of Bel Air and Laurie M. Burke and husband, Brian, both of Abingdon, and Kimberly A. Huntzberry of Port Deposit who was a special friend but he considered a daughter; sisters, Rebecca Lawton of Pensacola, FL and Linda Singletary of Forsyth, GA; and grandchildren, Allie and Brendle Rambo, Bri and Emmy Burke.
