Renee Callaghan

Renee Callaghan, age 50, of Edgewood, MD passed away on February 2, 2019 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Lexington, KY, she was the daughter of Thomas Eugene and the late Cheryl Estelle (Frazee) Abney. She grew up in Washington state where she enjoyed being close to friends and family as well as the outdoors. Renee graduated from Nathan Hale high school in Seattle in 1986. Renee worked as an optician at Seidenberg Protzko where she made several more life-long friends. She dedicated her life to her kids, and she loved her two dogs Lucy and Rocko and her cat Nicholas. Renee was excited about planning the two weddings of her son Chris and future daughter-in-law Prachi as well as her daughter Casee and future son-in-law Neal. She enjoyed hiking, was an avid Ravens fan, and loved to read.

Ms. Callaghan is survived by four sons, Chris Callaghan, Cody Callaghan, Daniel Henry, and Corey Tinkler; daughter, Casee Callaghan; father Thomas Abney and step-mother Marilyn Abney, brother, Doug Abney and his wife Faith Abney as well as their children Caleb and Alynne; three sisters, Cherylene Abney and her children Austen, Robert, and Justen, Lisa Stormes and her husband Jonathan Stormes as well as their daughter Isabelle, and Edith Roosevelt and her husband Isaac Roosevelt; two step-sisters, Lacey Gribbin and her husband Brenten Gribbin as well as their children Ian and Arya, and Danika Hughes.
