Ralph Patrick Scherzo

Ralph Patrick Scherzo, 79, left this earth on May 15, 2022.

Born on March 17, 1943, he was the son of the late Casimer and Irene (Tonarelli) Scherzo.

Ralph was a 1961 graduate of Kenwood High School. Following high school, he was a United States Marine from July 1961 to May 1965. He was a past member of St. Peters Lutheran Church. He retired from General Motors in 1986.

Ralph enjoyed hunting, fishing and his woodworking. He enjoyed crafts, holidays and loved to bowl. He was on several bowling leagues including the Wood Choppers. Ralph loved cooking food, but especially Italian cookies and pizzelles. He loved his large family and all his close friends, and most of all he was so proud of his grandchildren.  

Ralph is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elaine Scherzo; two daughters, Victoria Lynn Scherzo Zoller of Darlington, MD and Melissa Marie Leeds Smith of Street, MD, grandchildren, Elizabeth Elaine Smith, Allie Dobson Chaires, Gracie Lynn Chaires, and Michael Woodrow Zoller Jr.
