Priscilla "Sylvie" Lee Spies

Priscilla "Sylvie" Lee Spies, age 74, of Abingdon, MD passed away on November 19, 2018 at Franklin Square Hospital in Rosedale, MD. Born in Churchville, MD, she was the daughter of Wayne and Mattie (Crouse) Roberts and wife of the late Charles Richard Spies. She was a 1962 graduate of Edgewood High School and retired from Harford County Public Schools where she had worked for 25 years as a custodial worker and in the cafeteria. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Abingdon ELKS Lodge. She loved going to craft shows, shopping, going to the beach, going out for crabs with her group of lady friends, sitting outside under her shade tree with her family, and most off all spending time with her grandchildren watching them swim in her pool.

Mrs. Spies is survived by her daughter, Melissa Lynn Eckman and her husband, Jordon of Fallston; two granddaughters, Britney L. and Mattie R. Eckman of Fallston; grandson, Jordon M. Eckman, Jr. of Fallston; twin sister, Patricia Mahaffey of Edgewood; brother, John W. Roberts of Edgewood; and many nieces & nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Timothy Wayne Spies.
