Ossie B. Hutchins

Ossie B. Hutchins, age 96, of Bel Air, MD, died on August 17, 2009 at Citizens Care Center in Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Galax, VA, she was the daughter of the late Felix Monroe and Stella Jane Cox Edwards and wife of the late Alvis F. Hutchins. A full time farmers wife, she was a member of Bel Air Church of the Nazarene since 1941. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and gardening and was Chairwoman of the Church Funeral Food Committee for many years.

Mrs. Hutchins is survived by her children, Paul A. Hutchins and wife Carolyn, Roy R. Hutchins and wife Mary Anne, Ethel M. Rose and husband, George, Edith R. Miller and husband, Robert, and Donald G. Hutchins and wife, Frances; half brother, Franklin Edwards; half sisters, Gelene Haulsey and Irene Kitts; fourteen grandchildren, twenty four great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Dorsey R. Hutchins; sister, Oda Rose Steelman; half brothers Robert and Lonnie Edwards; half sister, Myrtle Beaman; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
