Oma Ellen Thron

Oma Thron, age 85, of Bel Air, MD passed away on January 26, 2019 at her home. Born in Kingston, TN, she was the daughter of Joseph and Cyble (Speers) Mullins and wife of 38 years to Edward W. Thron who died in 1991. She worked as a cashier at Safeway, Board of Education as a cashier at schools and was a hairdresser for many years. She was a lifelong homemaker and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, was an avid reader and loved working in her garden.

Mrs. Thron is survived by her sons, Michael L. Thron of Olney and Edward (Beryl) W. Thron, III of Stockton, UT; daughter, Donna E. Kauffman of Bel Air; brothers, Curtis Mullins of San Augustine, TX, Joseph Mullins of SC and William "Mack" Mullins of FL; sister, Obyne Armour of Athens, GA; grandchildren, Kolby M. Kauffman of Bel Air, MD, Brooke L. Thron and Allison R. Thron of Olney, Jacob Thron and Izaak Thron of Stockton, UT.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dale Mullins, sisters, Loretta Flow and Wilma Kemerer and grandson Cameron E. Kauffman.
