Myrtle "Mary" Hayter

Myrtle "Mary" Hayter, age 84, of York, PA passed away on January 3, 2019 at Manor Care York South. Born in Floyd County, VA, she was the daughter of Henry C. and Toye B. (Reed) Reed and beloved wife of George Wilson Hayter. She was a member of the Parkton American Legion. She retired from 27 years of service as an electronic assembler with Westinghouse. She loved animals, especially dogs and truly enjoyed spending time with family.

Mrs. Hayter is survived by her loving son, Daniel George Hayter of York, PA and his wife, Tammy; three grandchildren, Renee Delawder and her husband Jason, April Snyder and her husband Nick, and Jacob Hayter; five great grandchildren, Nicholas and Brenden Delawder, Joshua, Gavin and Alivia Snyder.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughter, Diane Lynn Martin, brother, Herbert Reed, sisters, Gladys Parks and Margie Urie.
