Michael Francis Brooks

Michael Francis Brooks, age 82, of Magnolia, Delaware passed away on February 4, 2023 surrounded by his family at Bayhealth Kent Campus in Dover, Delaware. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of Joseph and Helen (Roop) Brooks. Mike was a member of the Air Police Squadron of the USAF and a working Dog Handler. In his younger years, he was an altar boy in his church and a Boy Scout. He worked as an over the road truck driver for many years and was proud to say that he had driven over 2 million miles during that time. Mike loved music, dancing and he would sing to anyone that wanted to hear him. He was the life of the party. He also loved to cook and fish, amongst others things. Mike was a very loving and strong husband, father and grandfather.

He leaves behind his wife of 61 years, Barbara Ann (Tipton) Brooks; children Kenneth Brooks, Shirley Walsh, Karen Michaels and Veda Sparzak; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; and siblings, Patricia Huber, John Brooks, Charles Roop, Thomas Brooks, Thurland Brooks, James Brooks and Laura Marr.
