Mary Gertrude Hooker

Mary Gertrude Hooker, age 80, of Bel Air, MD, passed away peacefully in her home on May 22, 2014. Born in Marion, VA, she was the daughter of the late John Daniel and Dolly Victoria Anderson Jones. A wonderful wife and mother, she attended Higher Ground Worship Center in Darlington. An avid gardener, she enjoyed her flowers and watching her birds.

Mrs. Hooker is survived by her husband of 58 years, James R. Hooker; sons, David A. Hooker of Elkton, Mark A. Hooker of Aberdeen, Michael W. Hooker of Edgewood and Daniel G. Hooker of Darlington; daughter, Josette M. Kuriger of Perryman; brother, Bill Jones of Lancaster, PA; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, James R. Hooker.

Pallbearers will be Robert James, David Parks, Clarence Ely, David Ely, David Page and Justus Epen.
