Mary Ball London

Mary (Mildred) Ball London, of Joppa, MD, died after a brief illness on November 19, 2016. She was 81. The daughter of Joseph and Ella Ball, she was raised on a farm in Thomas Run Valley, in Bel Air. She attended the Thomas Run School House while growing up, and retired from Harford County Public Schools in 1997, where she had worked at Bel Air High School (in the 1950's), Youths Benefit Elementary School, and Edgewood and Fallston Middle Schools. A terrific cook, she enjoyed their pets, traveling, shopping, and made frequent visits to check on her elderly friends.

Mrs. London is survived by her husband of 60 years, John "Jack" Carroll London Jr.; and her daughter, Linda (Hays) London Nickel and her husband, Scott. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Bette (Hays) Ball Smith.
