Mark Alan Fitzpatrick

Mark Fitzpatrick, 45, of Bel Air Maryland, died peacefully, on Wednesday, January 24, 2007, at the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. He fought his illness the way he lived his life; with conviction, faith, strength and determination.

Mark was born and raised in Jamestown, New York. He graduated from Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He began his 24 year manufacturing career with Union Carbide in Freehold, New Jersey where he met his wife of 14 years, Shirl Carpenter of Eatontown, New Jersey. Most recently, Mark was the Plant Operations Manager at the Clorox Company’s Aberdeen Plant. Mark’s career took his family to many states: New Jersey, Connecticut, Arkansas, Ohio, California and Maryland. No matter where they lived they were home. He will always be remembered as man who was respected and inspired by all who knew him. A nice guy – you couldn’t help but like. Knowing Mark made you a better person. His dedication and commitment to his family, friends, and career was unwavering.

In addition to his wife, Shirl, Mark was a devoted father to their daughter, Alicea Nicole. He was devoted to his parents, Laurence and Anna Fitzpatrick of Jamestown, New York, his brothers, Matthew Fitzpatrick of Ashville New York, Christopher Fitzpatrick of Jamestown, New York, and Jeffrey Fitzpatrick of Jamestown, New York, and to his sister, Lori Fitzpatrick of Falconer, New York. Mark also adored his nieces and nephews.
