Margaret Mary Hakim

Margaret Mary Hakim, age 88, of Glen Arm, Maryland passed away on June 8, 2020 at her home. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of Thomas and Catherine (Farrell) Swift and wife of the late Dr. Jamshid Hakim. She retired from Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY as a Nurse Educator working in the operating room. She had worked at other hospitals including The Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, NY area throughout her career. She liked to play tennis, ski, and was an avid reader.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Barbara Shipley of Abingdon; and sister, Ann Rafferty.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sister, Catherine Muir and brother, Thomas Swift.
