Margaret Louise George

Margaret L. George, 93, was born June 26, 1928 to George and Anna Alexander. One of seven children, she grew up in Harford County and graduated from Dublin High School in 1945. Margaret married her first husband, Willie King in 1949. He died in 1955 while serving in the Navy. They had two sons, Warren King, who predeceased his mother in 1965 and William King. Margaret married her second husband, Thomas J. George in 1971. They lived in Amherst, Ohio, running a tax business. Margaret and Tom traveled and always considered Maryland their home. They were most dedicated to spending time with their families. Tom passed away in 2014. Since developing dementia, Margaret has lived in Bel Air with her son, William King and his wife, Deborah.

She is survived by grandsons, Eric King and wife, Chiara and Adam King and his wife, Suzanne and 3 great grandchildren from her marriage to Mr. King and 4 stepchildren, grandchildren and great grandchildren from her marriage to Mr. George.

Visitation will be held under the caring guidance of the family owned and operated McComas Funeral Home, Abingdon, Maryland on Thursday, September 16, 2021, from 6-9 pm and on Friday, September 17, from 11 am-12 pm followed by a service at 12 pm. Interment will take place in West Nottingham Cemetery, Colora, MD.
